Prior to joining Tipping Indicate Community, Nick was an Orfalea Swain at the William J. Clinton Foundation in Harlem, where he worked on domestic programs focused on entrepreneurship and helping individuals gain admission to the fiscal mainstream. He earned his M.P.A. from the Academy of Southern California and his B.A. in Political Scientific discipline from Sonoma Country University. He has worked equally an Annotator at Wildan Financial Services and a Project Coordinator at the Sonoma Economical Development Board. Built-in in El Salvador, his Latino heritage inspires his passion for life, dancing and spicy food.

Clare has defended her career and expertise to creating a more than equitable futurity where everyone has the opportunity to live their best selves. By building bridges and leveraging partnerships, she has harnessed support for social service organizations and the arts. Recently coming from Larkin Street Youth Services, a Tipping Point grantee, she witnessed kickoff-hand their impact in making real alter in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness. Clare studied marketing at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Every bit a Bay Area transplant, she is defended to the community which has been her home for virtually a decade. One of Tipping Bespeak'due south first employees, Jamie rejoined the team after serving as the chief operating officeholder of JVS, a workforce development organization, where he oversaw finance, human being resources, information technology and evaluation. He's had a variety of roles in the non-profit and authorities sectors, including budget director for the Metropolis of Fremont, statistician at UCSF and senior plan officer at Tipping Bespeak. An Occidental Higher graduate, Jamie holds 2 primary's degrees from UC Berkeley in public policy, and epidemiology and biostatistics. He is also a proud lath fellow member of Hamlet Enterprise, which fights poverty in Kenya and Uganda through entrepreneurship. Liz comes to Tipping Point as an onetime friend, having worked alongside the squad for years every bit both a grantee and funding partner. Most recently, she served as the Chief Finance and Growth Officer at First Place for Youth, launching the Affiliate Network to aggrandize the arrangement outside of California. Prior to her fourth dimension at First Place, Liz was a Senior Portfolio Acquaintance at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, where she was responsible for the Foundation'due south sourcing efforts and supported several grantees equally they expanded to serve more youth and deepened their outcomes and evidence. Nina leads Tipping Bespeak's grantmaking and systems change efforts on homelessness in San Francisco, bringing a focus on equity and cross-sector collaboration. Before becoming the Senior Program Officeholder, she served every bit a Senior Planner with Tipping Betoken'south Chronic Homelessness Initiative, working with various partners to promote health and housing for all San Franciscans. Prior to joining Tipping Point, she worked with the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C. on legislative reform to reduce the use of prison and jail in response to social and public wellness needs. She previously served as a public defender in Alameda County, where in addition to providing legal representation, she led a needs cess of indigent clients and participated in a regional working group to address racial disparities in the justice system. She is a graduate of Harvard Academy and Harvard Constabulary School. A Bay Expanse native, Nina loves learning about the region's natural ecosystems and trying new styles of trip the light fantastic toe.

A violinist in a previous life, Mona was living in Boston when she decided to dedicate her career to the third sector and then she could make a broader impact in the community. She made her transition at a workforce development organization where she helped low-income, immigrant women start new careers in health care. Now, she brings over ten years of plan management and relationship development experience to Tipping Signal, with a range of expertise from the fields of the surroundings to the arts. She has served in different capacities at the New England Aquarium, Boston Borough Symphony, San Francisco Botanical Garden Social club and the Asian Fine art Museum of San Francisco.
Mona studied music and sociology at UC Berkeley and received her master's degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is excited to be role of a larger endeavour to create systemic change to address the inequalities in her beloved hometown. Outside of the office, Mona enjoys museums large and small, and can ofttimes exist found taking photos of plants on her hikes.

Sam has been involved with Tipping Betoken Community since it began, serving every bit the CEO of Outset Place for Youth, a long-standing grantee, for 12 years. Sam is a recipient of the Children and Family Fellowship from the Annie Eastward. Casey Foundation and was awarded the 2010 James Irvine Foundation Leadership Honor. He has a Principal's in Counseling from California Land University, Eastward Bay. When he is not at work he is either hanging with his twin daughters or playing golf.

Prior to Tipping Signal, she spent five years managing corporate partnerships at UCSF Benioff Children'due south Hospitals where she raised funds to ensure all kids have access to the quality healthcare they deserve. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley where she studied Anthropology and Conservation. Kara is a long-time champion for children and families. She has experience in the fields of early childhood development, K-12 education and mental health; conducted direct practice, public policy and research; and worked at the local, state and national levels. Prior to joining Tipping Point, Kara was the director of As well Small-scale to Fail, a national public awareness initiative of the Clinton Foundation that supports parents and caregivers to sympathize the critical role they play in their child's early on brain evolution. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University, supporting localities to use information to bulldoze decision-making and system improvements. Earlier in her career, Kara was Chair of the Get-go 5 San Francisco Commission, Associate Manager of early care and education at Children Now and a psychiatric social worker for San Francisco Metropolis and Canton. Leslie was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois and received her BA in International Studies from the Academy of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He'south an educator past training and has worked as an instructional charabanc, recruiter, and program managing director at youth-serving non-profits. Tony holds a B.A. from Gonzaga University and a Doctorate of Education from Harvard University, where he studied under national leaders in social policy and administration. Andrea Evans

Andrea Evans has worked extensively at the intersection of law and policy in the private, non-profit and regime sectors. In particular, she has led efforts to promote human rights and women's rights domestically and abroad. Originally from the Due east Coast, Andrea has embraced San Francisco as her dwelling house and has been very involved in local affairs. She sits on the KIPP Bay Expanse Board of Trustees and is a one-time Commissioner with the San Francisco Fire Commission and the San Francisco Women'south Commission. While working at VOICES, Mitch helped to implement and develop iii additional youth-led community centers in Santa Rosa, Santa Clara, and Monterey counties. Prior to working at Levi Strauss & Co., Marisa spent half-dozen years in the agency globe working on corporate social responsibility and reputation campaigns. Janasha has an understanding of nonprofits and the issues they face from multiple lenses: equally a former client, from direct service and management experience, and from providing technical assist to help build organizational and organisation capacities. For the first half of Janasha'due south career she focused on homelessness, and later developed an involvement in impacting change on a broader calibration which prompted her focus for the second half of her career. With over fourteen years of mixed methods enquiry experience, Janasha served as the lone specialist on all research, evaluation, and data-related matters for intermediary organizations focused on equitable systems change for educational collective impact initiatives. Janasha holds a Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Community Organizing and Social Policy & Evaluation from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from San Francisco Country Academy. In her free time, Janasha enjoys creating memorable moments with family and friends, enjoying outdoor scenery while hiking, trying new food and experiences, traveling, watching movies and comedy shows.

Jake joined Tipping Betoken in 2014 afterwards six years leading Dartmouth College's fundraising in the Bay Area, and with more than 10 years' feel in the social sector. Prior to working for Dartmouth, Jake was a program director and development officer for Direction Leadership for Tomorrow, a national organization that develops the next generation of minority business leaders. Earlier switching to the not-profit world, he worked in software production management and business development. Jake earned his BA in Studio Art from Dartmouth Higher. He doesn't brand as much art as he should, and instead channels his artistic energy into coaching his two children's sports teams, cooking and biking around Marin County.

Martha previously provided administrative and programmatic support at John Burton Advocates for Youth, an organization serving two of California's nigh vulnerable populations, foster youth and homeless youth. With a degree in education from San Francisco State University, Martha hopes to employ her skills to support Tipping Bespeak as they fight to improve countless lives across the Bay Expanse. In her spare time, Martha enjoys rewatching her favorite shows on Netflix with her married man and two cats and has recently taken up meditation.

Carol graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a finance concentration and received an MBA from the Yale Schoolhouse of Management. Jake's work focuses on improving opportunities and outcomes for children, youth, and families through programs, policy, and research. Prior to joining Tipping Indicate, he was Acquaintance Manager at the John West. Gardner Middle for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University. In that role, he collaborated with Bay Area school districts and youth-serving organizations to build capacity to use data for decision-making, and analyzed effective strategies for promoting low-income students' development and success. Jake has also worked as a public policy professor at Claremont Graduate University, Director of Policy Enquiry and Analysis at The After-School Corporation (TASC) in New York City, and school and community development volunteer with the Us Peace Corps in Namibia. He has received a B.A. from Oberlin Higher, an MPA from Princeton and a Ph.D from New York University. When not at work, Jake tin be found urban hiking with his family, and by and large trying to keep up with his two young daughters.

Ken learned the ropes as an SAP Security and Basis Analyst for the Chevron Information technology Company where he oversaw security for their Business Intelligence and Supply Chain Direction Systems. Nora joins Tipping Point after four years working in Stanford Academy's evolution office. At Stanford, Nora worked to educate and cultivate the university'south pipeline of adjacent generation donors. Most recently, she was Managing Director of Programs at Coaching Corps where she oversaw the programme operations that led to its national expansion. Talia's non-profit career began in youth entrepreneurship education at Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, and she besides created a comprehensive later on-school program for a settlement firm on Manhattan's Lower Eastward Side. Talia somewhen served as Assistant Executive Director at a large community system in New York City, where she gained experience with employment, supportive housing, adult pedagogy, reentry and college access programs. Talia received her BS from Cornell University and a Primary's in Education from Harvard. Since relocating to the Bay Area, Talia has enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family.

Caressa started out in the nonprofit sector because she believes everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive despite their background. Caressa is passionate about providing her team members with the resources they need to succeed. Caressa is grateful for the role she plays in helping change the lives of those in the community who need it the virtually. Previously, Caressa worked at First Place for Youth, a Tipping Point grantee, for over 13 years. She had the opportunity to hold various roles , from Executive Assistant to Operations Manager to her final position, Human Resources Generalist. During her fourth dimension on the Human Resources team, she worked on enhancing employee programs and new hire orientation. While Caressa was born and raised in the Bay Area, 1 of her and her family unit's favorite things to do is to visit famous tourist spots around the Bay Area––biking on the Golden Gate Bridge never gets old! Patricia holds a bachelor's caste from University of California, Irvine in Political Scientific discipline with an accent in ceremonious rights law, and international relations. A first generation Chicana, built-in and raised in Los Angeles, Mayra was taught the value of hard work and perseverance. Growing up, she realized the obstacles many immigrants face up in gild to live secure lives. Mayra's career has focused on raising the voices of those near often marginalized, to dismantle socioeconomic barriers and democratize knowledge. After graduating and attaining her master's in Museum Studies from John F. Kennedy University, she traveled the land with StoryCorps, recording oral histories and begetting witness to people's lives. Most recently, she worked at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England in New Haven, Connecticut, organizing with the Latinx communities around reproductive rights. Leo first got involved with this line of work after landing a fellowship with San Francisco's 9th District Supervisor, Hillary Ronen. There, he constitute a love for working straight with constituents to meet their firsthand concerns, and for crafting legislation that boldly reimagines what a city can exercise for its people.
Before joining Tipping Point, Leo worked in the individual sector as a legal assistant, tutored Organic Chemistry and Physics, and practiced latte fine art as a barista.
Leo obtained a B.A. in Neurobiology with a focus on Public Health from UC Berkeley. As a student, Leo was an investigative researcher for the Human being Rights Center'southward Digital Verification Corps, a Haas Public Service Leader, and an NSF Scholarship recipient.
